La gara di Lommel, in Belgio, solitamente è il GP dove vengono presi o definiti gli accordi fra le squadre e i piloti per la stagione futura.

Anche il Team SM Action Yamaha non sfugge a questa regola e, proprio il venerdì prima della gara, ha firmato con Michele Cervellin per la prossima stagione iridata nella MX2.

Questa firma non è sicuramente una sorpresa. Proprio lo scorso anno, sempre a Lommel, sfumò il possibile ingaggio di Cervellin nelle fila Yamaha, salvo poi rincontrarsi a metà stagione 2018 con il passaggio del pilota veneto nella Casa dei TRE DIAPASON per terminare la stagione odierna.

Il prossimo anno Cervellin sarà presente nel Mondiale MX2, negli Internazionali d’Italia e nel Campionato Italiano Prestige. Nell’accordo siglato è stata inserita una opzione per la stagione 2020, stagione nella quale Michele Cervellin, per limiti d’età, sarà costretto a passare in MXGP.

MATTEO MIGLIORI: “Siamo molto contenti e soddisfatti di aver chiuso l’accordo con Michele Cervellin per la stagione 2019. Un accordo arrivato con un anno di ritardo, visto che già nel 2017, ci eravamo quasi accordati. A metà stagione siamo riusciti a portarlo in Yamaha per terminare questa stagione. Questo ha agevolato l’accordo per il prossimo anno più una opzione per il 2020 in MXGP. Siamo ovviamente contenti e speriamo di migliorare gara dopo gara e confermare la presenza di Michele nella Top Ten della MX2”.

Lommel’s weekend, in Belgium, is usually the place where agreements and contracts between riders and teams for the next season are taken. So SM Action Yamaha Team, on Friday, before the round started, signed Michele Cervellin for the next World Championship season in MX2.

This agreement is not a surprise at all. Last year, once again in Lommel, Cervellin was about to sign for Yamaha but back then the parts did not settle. They found each other again on May 2018, when the rider from Veneto went to YAMAHA to finish the current season with the Team.

Next year Cervellin will take part to the MX2 World Championship, the “Internazionali d’Italia” and the Italian Prestige MX Championship. The agreement includes an option for 2020 season, when Michele Cervellin will have reached the age limit and will have to pass to MXGP.

MATTEO MIGLIORI: “We are really happy and satisfied to have found an agreement with Michele Cervellin for the 2019 season. The sign arrived one year later than expected because in facts, in 2017, we were about to settle. In the middle of the current season we managed to bring him in Yamaha to finish the Championship with us. Of course being already with the Team facilitated things for 2019 and for the 2020’s option for MXGP. We are obviously happy and we hope we keep improving race by race to confirm Michele in the TOP TEN of the MX2 World Championship”.
