Honda annuncia una nuova line-up di piloti EMX250 per il 2019, completando la scala di progressione del marchio nei ranghi del FIM Motocross World Championship, dalla EMX250 alla MX2 fino alla MXGP.
A seguito della campagna vincitrice del titolo EMX250 di Mathys Boisrame nel 2018 a bordo della Honda CRF250R, tre squadre schiereranno un totale di cinque piloti tutti fiduciosi di replicare il successo del francese.
Mentre Boisrame è stato promosso nella categoria MX2 con il Team Assomotor Redmoto Honda, il suo posto è preso dal francese Stephen Rubini che si unisce alla scuderia Honda. Si schiererà al fianco di Pierre Goupillon che ha vinto il primo round EMX250 dello scorso anno a Valencia e ha concluso cinque gare nella top-3, inclusa una vittoria di manche in Russia.
Nell Team Honda 114 Motorsports, il quattordicenne Axel Louis, ex campione francese della 85cc, si unirà a Chihiro Notsuka su un’altra coppia di Honda CRF250R. Dopo aver vinto la classe IA2 nel JMX nel 2016 e aver completato una stagione MX2 nel 2017 con il Team HRC, Notsuka ha vinto cinque moto nella sua campagna JMX del 2018.
Tra le fila del Buildbase Honda Racing CRF250R c’è Josh Gilbert, che ha concluso al secondo posto nella classe MX2 del campionato inglese Motocross la scorsa stagione, oltre a completare da wildcard i round MXGP inglesi e francesi in MX2, a bordo di una Honda CRF250R.
La stagione EMX250 inizierà con il Gran Premio di Gran Bretagna a Matterley Basin il 23 e 24 marzo, con le squadre che si preparano per il tanto atteso primo lancio.

Honda announce a new EMX250 rider line-up for 2019, completing the brand’s ladder of progression through the ranks of the FIM Motocross World Championship from EMX250 through MX2 to MXGP.
Following on from Mathys Boisrame’s dominant EMX250 title-winning campaign in 2018 aboard the Honda CRF250R, three teams will field a total of five riders all hopeful to replicate the Frenchman’s success.
As Boisrame is promoted to the MX2 category with Team Assomotor Redmoto Honda, his seat is taken by the Frenchman Stephen Rubini who joins the Honda stable. He will line up alongside Pierre Goupillon who won the opening EMX250 round of last year in Valencia and took five moto top-three finishes, including a moto win in Russia.
At Team Honda 114 Motorsports, 14-year-old Axel Louis, former French 85cc Champion, will join Chihiro Notsuka on another pair of Honda CRF250Rs. Having won the IA2 class in JMX in 2016 and completed an MX2 season in 2017 with Team HRC, Notsuka took five moto wins in his 2018 JMX campaign.
Lining up on the Buildbase Honda Racing CRF250R is Josh Gilbert, who finished second in the MX2 class of the British Motocross championship last season as well as completing wildcards at the British and French MXGP rounds in MX2, aboard a Honda CRF250R.
The EMX250 season gets underway at the British Grand Prix at Matterley Basin on 23-24 March, with the teams testing in readiness for the eagerly anticipated first gate drop.
