KTM Motorsports è lieta di accogliere ufficialmente Broc Tickle nel Team Red Bull KTM Factory Racing per la stagione 2018. Tickle correrà a bordo della KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION a fianco del compagno di squadra Marvin Musquin per il Campionato Supercross e il Campionato AMA Pro Motocross 450.
Il ventottenne nativo del Michigan ha vinto un Campionato AMA Supercross Lites Ovest nel 2011, insieme a una serie di podi in carriera e gare terminate nella top-5 nel corso degli anni. Tickle ha dimostrato il suo valore come concorrente al podio nella classe 450, con la più recenti acquisizioni di un paio di terzi posti arrivando terzo nel 2017 nel Toronto Supercross e il National di High Point MX.
Tickle ha mancato la seconda metà del campionato AMA Pro Motocross a causa di un infortunio alla spalla, ma lui è pronto a correre nella stagione agonistica 2018, a cominciare dalla monster Energy Cup e la Red Bull Straight Rhythm nel mese di ottobre.
Tickle: “Sono davvero impaziente di questa opportunità di lavorare con Roger, Ian e tutta il Team Red Bull KTM Factory Racing. Con il successo che entrambe le squadre hanno avuto Europa ed in USA negli ultimi anni sulla nuova KTM 450 SX-F Factory Edition, non vedo l’ora di utilizzare la KTM per me. I risultati e i numerosi campionati che hanno guadagnato la dice lunga per il marchio e sto veramente sperando di trarre il meglio da questa opportunità. Sono specialmente entusiasta di allenarmi presso la Bakers factory con Aldon Baker e al fianco del mio nuovo compagno di squadra Marvin (Musquin). Questa è la prima volta nella mia carriera da professionista che sono in un programma di formazione onnicomprensivo, dove in sella farò formazione, poi farò fitness e sarò al fianco di alcuni dei ragazzi più veloci in questo sport, che sono tutti una parte della mia routine quotidiana. Ho molta voglia di sfruttare al meglio tutto ciò che mi viene offerto e mostrare ciò che credo di essere in grado di fare”.
Roger De Coster: “Abbiamo sempre visto un sacco di potenziale in Broc e non vediamo l’ora di dare a lui ogni strumento a disposizione del nostro team per avere successo e sfruttare al meglio questa opportunità. Riteniamo che il comportamento e la personalità di Broc sia dentro che fuori dal pista sono buoni per essere compagno di squadra di Marvin e la speranza che funzionano bene insieme sia in sella che in allenamento”.
Broc Tickle signs to Red Bull KTM
KTM Motorsports is pleased to officially welcome Broc Tickle to the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team for the 2018 season. Tickle will race aboard a KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION alongside teammate Marvin Musquin for the AMA 450 Supercross Championship and AMA 450 Pro Motocross Championship.
The 28-year-old Michigan native claimed an AMA Supercross Lites West Championship in 2011, along with a host of career podium and top-five finishes over the years. Tickle has proved his merit as a 450 class podium contender, most recently capturing a pair of third place finishes in 2017 at Toronto Supercross and High Point MX National.
Tickle missed the second half of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship due to a shoulder injury but he is READY TO RACE into the 2018 race season, beginning with the Monster Energy Cup and Red Bull Straight Rhythm in October.
Tickle:”I’m really looking forward to the opportunity to work with Roger, Ian and the whole Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team. With the success both European and US teams have had in recent years on the new KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION, I’m really looking forward to the chance to race the KTM for myself. The results and numerous championships they’ve earned speaks volumes for the brand and I’m really hoping to make the most of this awesome opportunity. I’m especially excited to train at Bakers Factory with Aldon Baker and alongside my new teammate Marvin (Musquin). This is the first time in my pro career that I’m in an all-encompassing training program where riding coaching, fitness training and riding alongside some of the fastest guys in the sport are all a part of my daily routine. I really want to take full advantage of everything being offered and show what I believe I am capable of.”
