Hard week end for our team who moved to Russia on the Black Sea shores in the town of Orlyonok where a summer weather alternating with heavy rains accompanied the entire weekend.
After the bad race in France Nick Kouwenberg relied on this long trip but unfortunately the weekend did not bring the results hoped. In the qualifying session Nick had a good feeling and despite the eighth position he was satisfied with the time done.
In race one Nick did not start very well but, on the track made slicky by the rain falled during the night, seemed to find the right rhythm and reached immediately the top ten positions, unfortunately for him a fall made him going back and finished in twelfth position. Race two more complex due to the strong rain that made the track at the limit of practicability, once again Nick didn’t have a good start and there was not much he can do on the muddy track and closed in fifteenth position.
Unfortunately, a series of unlucky races for our team who trusts to be able to regain in the “home round” at Ottobiano on 25th of June, where our young rider Roan Van De Moosdijk will be back on track.
