(OTTOBIANO) Lombardia, Italia, 24 giugno 2017 – Oggi, dopo la conferenza stampa di qualificazione del Fiat Professional FULLBACK MXGP della Lombardia, il presidente Youthstream Giuseppe Luongo, il FIM / CMS Direttore Tony Skillington, il Presidente della Federazione Italiana Giovanni Copioli e il presidente Formula Imola Uberto Selvatico Estense hanno annunciato un round del FIM Motocross World Championship che si svolgerà presso l’Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari nel 2018.
Youthstream e Formula Imola sono lieti di annunciare che il FIM Motocross World Championship si terrà presso l’ Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari, nella data provvisoria del 29 e il 30 settembre 2018, il GP conclusivo della stagione 2018.
Imola è nato con il motocross nel 1948, dove avrebbe ospitato gare internazionali di motocross fino al 1965. Dopo 70 anni il FIM Motocross World Championship è tornato per un evento che avrà un enorme impatto sul motocross nel suo complesso.
Il Presidente Youthstream Giuseppe Luongo ha dichiarato: “Oggi abbiamo qualcosa di fantastico da annunciare. Siamo lieti di aver raggiunto un accordo con l‘All’Autodromo Internazionale ‘Enzo e Dino Ferrari’ di Imola, essere in grado di portare il Motocross nel tempio delle 2 e 4 ruote a Imola è qualcosa di fantastico, questo aiuterà il nostro sport a crescere ancora di più, e ci permette di presentare il nostro sport ad un più ampio pubblico grazie alle infrastrutture eccellenti del circuito e la sua reputazione. Insieme abbiamo in programma di organizzare un evento straordinario della MXGP, offrendo uno spettacolo unico all’Italia e al mondo. Vorremmo ringraziare il personale dell’ “Autodromo ‘Enzo e Dino Ferrari’ di Imola” ed in particolare il suo Presidente, Uberto Selvatico Estense, per la fiducia che hanno dimostrato nei confronti della nostra società e il nostro sport.”
Il Presidente Formula Imola Uberto Selvatico Estense ha dichiarato: “Siamo molto orgogliosi del presente bando. Abbiamo il motocross nel nostro DNA, in quanto faceva parte degli eventi tenuti ad Imola tra il 1948-1965 e sarà il 70 ° anniversario della sua prima gara il prossimo anno con questo ritorno. Tutto il pubblico e i media a Imola sono orgogliosi di avere il ritorno del Motocross. Sono sicuro che il luogo sarà perfetto per ospitare la spettacolare prova del Campionato Mondiale FIM Motocross. Per noi questo accordo è qualcosa di cui siamo molto orgogliosi. Oggi firmiamo l’accordo e vorrei ringraziare tutto il team che ha creduto in questo progetto, grazie a Youthstream, le Federazione Internazionale ed italiana per rendere realtà questo sogno.”
Il FIM / CMS Direttore Tony Skillington: “In questa giornata molto calda devo dire che è un onore essere parte di questo annuncio. La FIM è molto orgoglioso e molto entusiasta di tutti i risultati che il Campionato del Mondo Motocross ha raggiunto circa il suo programma. Questo mostra i miglioramenti del motocross. Si tratta di una nuova generazione di servizi e organizzazione.”
Il Presidente della Federazione Italiana Giovanni Copioli: “Lo Staff di Imola sono tutti amici e già ospitano grandi eventi. Sono una pietra miliare nel panorama italiano degli eventi. Hanno una grande professionalità, per loro il motocross è una grande sfida, ma sono sicuro che possano soddisfatto tutte le aspettative.”

MXGP Set to take place in Imola in 2018
(OTTOBIANO) Lombardia, Italy, 24 June 2017 – Today after the qualifying press conference at the Fiat Professional FULLBACK MXGP of Lombardia, Youthstream President Giuseppe Luongo, FIM/CMS Director Tony Skillington, President of the Italian Federation Giovanni Copioli and Formula Imola President Uberto Selvatico Estense were on stage to announce one round of the FIM Motocross World Championship will take place at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari in 2018.
Youthstream and Formula Imola are pleased to announce the FIM Motocross World Championship will be held at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari on the provisional date of 29th and 30th September 2018, the final GP of the 2018 season.
Imola was born with Motocross in 1948 where it would host motocross international races until 1965. After 70 years the FIM Motocross World Championship is back for an event which will have a huge impact on Motocross as a whole.
Youthstream President Giuseppe Luongo said: “Today we have something fantastic to announce. We are delighted to have come to an agreement with the “Autodromo Internazionale ‘Enzo e Dino Ferrari’ Imola”, and to be bringing Motocross to the temple of 2 and 4 wheels in Imola is something fantastic, this will help our sport grow even more, and it enables us to present our sport to a wider public thanks to the circuit’s outstanding infrastructures and reputation. Together we plan to organize an extraordinary MXGP event, offering a unique show in Italy and the world. We would like to thank the staff of the “Autodromo ‘Enzo e Dino Ferrari’ Imola” and in particular its President, Uberto Selvatico Estense, for the trust they have shown towards our company and our sport.”
Formula Imola President Uberto Selvatico Estense stated: “We are very proud of this announcement. We have motocross in our DNA as it was part of Imola events from 1948 to 1965 and 70 year anniversary of his first race next year with this comeback. All the public and media in Imola are proud to have Motocross back. I’m sure the venue will be perfect to host the spectacular FIM Motocross World Championship. For us this agreement is something we are very proud of. Today that we sign the agreement I wish to thank all of the team that has believed in this project, thank you to Youthstream, the International and the Italian Federations to make this dream true”.

The FIM is very proud and very excited of all the achievements the Motocross World Championship has reached and about his program. This shows the improvements of Motocross. This is a new generation of facilities and organization.”

They have a great professionalism, for them motocross is a big challenge but I’m sure they can satisfied all expectations.”
