Tutto pronto in Australia per il FIM Junior World Championship 2018 di Horsham

HORSHAM (Australia) 24 agosto 2018 – Il campionato mondiale FIM Junior Motocross ha preso il via in Australia per l’edizione 2018 dell’evento.

Mettendo in mostra i migliori giovani piloti di tutto il mondo che corrono per la possibilità di essere incoronati Campioni del Mondo Junior rappresentando il loro paese. L’evento unico combina sia lo stile individuale tradizionale del motocross che l’aspetto patriottico di una squadra. Spesso indicati come il futuro del motocross, i piloti del Campionato del Mondo Junior sono i giovani piloti più competitivi nelle classi 125cc e 85cc e quelli che lottano per la Coppa del Mondo 65cc.

Le calde temperature del circuito di Horsham, e l’Australia nel suo insieme, ospiterà un evento di motocross di questo tipo per la prima volta nella storia. Horsham è una città nella regione di Wimmera, nella parte occidentale del Victoria, con una popolazione di circa 17.000 abitanti e un’atmosfera molto rilassata situata su un’ansa del fiume Wimmera, a 300 chilometri da Melbourne.

Questa sera piloti e squadre provenienti da 22 paesi hanno partecipato alla cerimonia di apertura presso la Horsham Town Hall in vista del fine settimana. Mentre i maggiori applausi sono andati ai piloti del Team Australia, la competizione sarà forte. La cerimonia di apertura includeva anche il programma speciale all’inizio con una rappresentazione tradizionale degli aborigeni australiani.

Insieme alla performance e alla presentazione della squadra, questa sera, il direttore di FIM / CMS Tony Skillington, la rappresentante di Youthstream Patricia Maskarova , il presidente dell’Horsham Motorcycle Club Kenny Watts e il sindaco di Horsham Cr Pam Clarke sono saliti sul palco dove il signor Watts ha augurato il meglio essendo questo solo l’inizio di una carriera di successo come quella del pilota del team Wilvo Yamaha MXGP official Jeremy Sewer che è arrivato terzo nel corso dell’evento nel 2009, ma da allora è entrato a far parte del team MXGP di Monster Energy Yamaha Factory. Pam Clarke ha seguito nel ringraziare tutti coloro che sono venuti ad Horsham, una città che è orgogliosa e felice di ospitare i migliori giovani piloti del mondo.

Nella classe 125cc diversi piloti di alto livello ed esperienza provenienti da tutto il mondo sono tutti in grado di diventare campioni del mondo Junior 2018. Il Team USA schiererà il forte Max Miller contro l’attuale leader del campionato europeo Thibault Benistant dalla Francia insieme a Raivo Dankers, Rick Elzinga e Raf Meuwissen. Alla lista dei possibili vincitori c’è da aggiugere il campione del mondo 85cc Junior 85d Eddie Jay Wade dal Regno Unito più Petar Polak della Repubblica Ceca e Mattia Guadagnini.

La classe 85cc ospita piloti molto conosciuti e sarà estremamente competitiva con il nuovo Campione EMX85 Camden Mc Lellan del Sud Africa in lotta con l’americano, Ryder Difrancecso e il belga Liam Everts. Un’ulteriore sguardo alla Entry List porta tuttavia ancora più competizione per il podio con i forti giovani olandesi di Kay Karssemakers e Kay De Wolf o addirittura dello spagnolo Raul Sanchez .

Mentre le altre classi 125 e 85 hanno molti talenti di ritorno o provati, la classe della Coppa del Mondo Junior 65cc è piena di giovani talenti relativamente sconosciuti che stanno cercando di mettere i loro nomi in cima ai risultati come il neo incoronato EMX65 Brando Rispoli dall’Italia e la giovane superstar femminile Lotte Van Drunen olandese .

2018 FIM Motocross Junior World Championship Teams Group

FIM Junior World Championship All Set in Australia

HORSHAM (Australia) 24 August 2018 – The FIM Junior Motocross World Championship has kicked off in Australia for the 2018 edition of the event. Showcasing the best young riders around the world as they race for their chance to be crowned Junior World Champion all while represent their country. The unique event combines both the traditional individual style of motocross and with a patriotic team aspect. Often referred to them as the future of motocross, the riders of the Junior World Championship are the most competitive young riders in the classes of 125cc and 85cc along with those fighting for the 65cc World Cup.

Warm temperatures have Horsham’s circuit, and Australia as a whole for that matter, will be hosting a motocross event of this type for the first time in history. Horsham itself is a regional city in the Wimmera region of western Victoria with a population of about 17,000 and a very relaxed atmosphere located on a bend of the Wimmera River 300 kilometers from Melbourne.

This evening riders and teams from 22 countries attended the opening ceremony at Horsham Town Hall to get the weekend rolling. While the biggest applause went to the home riders of the Team Australia, their competition will be strong. The opening ceremony also included Special Program at the beginning with a traditional performance from Aboriginal Australians.

Along with the performance and team presentation this evening FIM/CMS Director Tony Skillington, Youthstream Representative Patricia Maskarova, President of Horsham Motorcycle Club Kenny Watts, andMayor of Horsham Cr Pam Clarke took the stage where Mr. Watts wished all the best as it is only the start of a successful career such as that of Wilvo Yamaha Official MXGP’s Jeremy Sewer who finished 3rd in the event during 2009 but has since gone on to join the Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP Team. Cr Pam Clarke followed to thank everyone who has come to Horsham, a city that is proud and glad to host the best young riders in the world.

In the 125cc class several top level and experience riders from around the globe all capable of becoming 2018 Junior World Champion. Team USA will field the strong Max Miller against current European Championship leader Thibault Benistant from France along with the Netherlands’ Raivo Dankers, Rick Elzinga, and Raf Meuwissen. Adding to the list of possible winners is 2017 85cc Junior World Champion Eddie Jay Wade from the UK plus Czech Republic’s Petar Polak and Italy’s Mattia Guadagnini.

The 85cc class hosts well know riders also and will be extremely competitive with the new EMX85 Champion Camden Mc Lellan from South Africa going against the American, Ryder Difrancecso and the Belgian, Liam Everts. A further look into the entry list however bring even more competition for the podium to mind with the strong Dutch youth of Kay Karssemakers and Kay De Wolf or even Spain’s Raul Sanchez.

While both the other classes of 125cc and 85cc have many returning or proven talent the 65cc Junior World Cupclass is full of young and relatively unknown talents who are each trying to put leave their names at the top of the results. Racers to look out for include the newly crowned EMX65 Champion Brando Rispoli from Italy and young female superstar Lotte Van Drunen from the Netherlands.
