Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA (YMUS) è lieta di annunciare che il team Monster Energy / Yamaha Factory Racing ha firmato due nuovi contratti con Justin Barcia e Aaron Plessinger completando il suo roster della classe 450 con due piloti per il campionato Monster Energy AMA Supercross e AMA Pro Motocross Championship per la stagione 2019 e oltre.
Barcia, che ha iniziato la stagione 2018 è entrato come sostituto, ha dimostrato presto il suo valore come contendente nella serie Supercross e rapidamente è diventato un membro del team a tempo pieno per il resto dell’anno. Con nove piazzamenti sul podio all’attivo, Barcia continuerà a lottare per il terzo posto assoluto nel campionato 450MX questo sabato nel finale di stagione a Crawfordsville, nell’Indiana. Con dieci anni di esperienza nelle competizioni professionali, tra cui due titoli consecutivi negli anni ’11 e ’12 nel Campionato 250SX East, Barcia guiderà in 450 gli sforzi del team come veterano esperto della classe.
Di recente incoronato 250MX e 250SX West Champion, Aaron Plessinger, farà il suo debutto in 450 nel Monster Energy AMA Supercross e nell’AMA Pro Motocross con il Monster Energy / Yamaha Factory Racing Team nella stagione 2019. Monster Energy/Yamaha Factory Racing Team Locks In Justin Barcia and Aaron Plessinger
Cypress, Calif. – August 22, 2018 –Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A. (YMUS) is pleased to announce that the Monster Energy/Yamaha Factory Racing Team has signed new contracts with Justin Barcia and Aaron Plessinger to complete its two-rider 450 class roster for the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship and AMA Pro Motocross Championship series in 2019 and beyond.
Barcia, who began the 2018 season as a fill-in rider, proved his merit early on as a contender in the supercross series and quickly became a full-time team member for the remainder of the race year. With nine podium finishes under his belt, Barcia will continue to fight for third overall in the 450MX Championship this Saturday at the season finale in Crawfordsville, Indiana. With ten years of professional racing experience, including back-to-back 250SX East Championships in ’11 and ‘12, Barcia will spearhead the team’s 450 efforts as a seasoned veteran in the class.
Recently crowned 250MX and 250SX West Champion, Aaron Plessinger, is set to make his 450-class debut in Monster Energy AMA Supercross and AMA Pro Motocross with the Monster Energy/Yamaha Factory Racing Team in the 2019 season. The 22-year-old Ohio native has displayed his versatile skill set in all types of conditions and will prove to be an asset to the team.

The 2018 AMA Pro Motocross Championship concludes this Saturday, Aug. 25, in Crawfordsville, Indiana for the Ironman National. Both Justin and Aaron are set to represent the U.S. Team at the upcoming Motocross of Nations on Oct. 6-7 at RedBud MX in Buchanan, Michigan.
