Non inizia sicuramente nel migliore dei modi la nuova avventura di Davi Millsaps nel Team ufficiale Monster Energy Yamaha. Il pilota caduto in allenamento ha riportato la frattura del gomito siniostro e sarà corstretto a saltare l’appuntamento con la Monster Energy Cup di Las Vegas questo fine settimana.

Cypress, CA – 10 ottobre 2017 – Mentre si allenava a bordo della sua Yamaha YZ450F #18 sul test track Yamaha in Corona, CA, venerdì scorso, Davi Millsaps del Team Monster Energy / Yamalube / Chaparral / Yamaha Financial Services / Yamaha Factory Racing è caduto e si è fratturato gomito sinistro. È stato trasportato all’ospedale dopo l’incidente ed è stato tenuto in osservazione fino a lunedì quando è stato dimesso.
Dopo una valutazione medica completa, è stato stabilito che Davi non sarà purtroppo in grado di competere alla Monster Energy Cup 2017, che è questo sabato, 14 ottobre, nello stadio Sam Boyd di Las Vegas, NV. Sarà presto eseguito un intervento chirurgico sul gomito fratturato.
Keith McCarty, responsabile della Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA, ha dichiarato: “Mi sento veramente male per Davi e per tutta la squadra. la squadra stava compiendo ottimi progressi e stavano aspettando con impazienza la Monster Energy Cup di questo fine settimana dove Davi doveva fare il suo debutto con la nostra squadra di Yamaha Factory. Siamo fiduciosi che Davi sarà in grado di effettuare un rapido recupero e tornare in corsa presto “.
Mentre Davi recupera, Cooper Webb sarà nello stadio Sam Boyd questo Sabato pomeriggio dalle 12:45 alle 1:45 per un incontro e saluto con i fan e per firmare autografi.
Cypress, CA – October 10, 2017 – While practicing aboard his #18 Yamaha YZ450F at Yamaha’s test track in Corona, CA, this past Friday, Monster Energy/Yamalube/Chaparral/Yamaha Financial Services/Yamaha Factory Racing’s Davi Millsaps fell and fractured his left elbow. He was transported to the hospital following the incident and was held for observation until Monday when he was discharged.
After a complete medical evaluation, it was determined that Davi will unfortunately be unable to compete at the 2017 Monster Energy Cup, which is this Saturday, October 14, at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, NV. He will have surgery performed on his fractured elbow soon.
Keith McCarty, Motorsports Racing Division Manager for Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A., said, “I feel really bad for Davi and the entire team. He’s been doing a lot of training on his 2018 YZ450F, and things have been going well. He and the team were making excellent progress, and they were looking forward to this weekend’s Monster Energy Cup where Davi was scheduled to make his debut with our Yamaha Factory team. We’re confident that Davi will be able to make a speedy recovery and return to racing soon.”
While Davi recuperates, Cooper Webb will be on hand at Sam Boyd Stadium this Saturday afternoon from 12:45 to 1:45 for a meet-and-greet with fans, and to sign autographs.
